Tokavy ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Tokavy desktop application and website, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not collect your full name unless you provide it.

Prompt Data: When you use Compress or Enhance, your selected text is transmitted to our API for processing. We do not store, log, or retain your prompt content after processing is complete. Prompts are processed in memory and discarded.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage metrics — such as the number of refinements used per day and which mode (Compress or Enhance) was used — to improve the Service. This data cannot be used to identify you.

Payment Data: Payments are handled entirely by our third-party payment providers. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or banking details. We only receive a payment confirmation token from the provider.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To process prompt refinements and return results
• To enforce plan limits (Free: 25/day, Pro: 200/day)
• To send transactional emails (account creation, billing receipts)
• To improve the quality and reliability of the Service
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of trusted third parties to operate the Service:

• Payment Processors — secure payment processing
• Hosting providers — cloud infrastructure for running our API

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

5. Data Retention

Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes, which are retained for 7 years).

Prompt data is never persisted — it is processed transiently and not written to any database.

6. Cookies

Our website uses minimal, essential cookies only — specifically a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that identify you individually.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, hashed password storage, and access controls on our backend. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
